Dr. Guerzon is a licensed psychologist with nearly twenty years of experience providing operational, forensic, and clinical psychological services to government entities. Dr. Guerzon has been a staff psychologist at federal agencies, including two in the intelligence community. Currently, she is the Director of a government consulting firm, that provides behavioral health staff, forensic and clinical assessment, and intervention and operational consultation to federal criminal justice agencies. Dr. Guerzon’s primary professional interest is in providing operational and tactical consultation to government entities in the intelligence or criminal justice arenas.

Spring Grove Hospital Center, Catonsville, MD Forensic Evaluator (September 2008 – 2017)

Conducted inpatient and outpatient forensic evaluations, including competency, criminal responsibility and risk assessment. Provided expert testimony at mental health hearings and court proceedings. Reviewed and audits patient records to ensure compliance to court ordered requirements and standards. Provided supervision of graduate students in psychology.

Guerzon and Associates, LLC Adjunct Faculty Member (August 2019 – Present)

Dr. Guerzon is also the Managing Director of Guerzon and Associates, LLC which provides psychological services for the Pretrial Services Agency and the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) both of which are agencies within the Federal Government. Her company has been awarded six competitive selection contracts.

Provided post-adjudication forensic assessments of court-involved population. Provided crisis assessment, assessment and intervention for suicidality, and risk of violence.

Founder and principal psychologist of private mental health practice. The practice conducts psychological assessments and treatment of adults, children, families and couples. Dr. Guerzon is credentialed and paneled Blue Cross, APS, Aetna, Kaiser-Permanente and other insurers.

Department of Defense, Washington, DC and Hanover, MD Psychologist (October 2004 – April 2006)

Conducted psychological evaluations to determine suitability for employment, special assignment, and international relocation. Provided staff trainings on various clinical topics including stress management. Patuxent Institution, Department of Corrections, Jessup, MD Psychologist (August 1999 – September 2004)

Conducted psychological evaluations which included cognitive and personality test measures to determine program eligibility and clinical progress of inmates. Authored reports and presented findings to parole board. Directed male drug treatment module and female youth treatment program. Provided clinical supervision to master’s level, doctoral level and post-doctoral level psychology interns. Provided training and consultation to Department of Corrections’ psychologists on drug treatment, victim impact, and crisis readiness.
