Vaccinations

We respect the rights of parents and guardians to make decisions regarding childhood vaccinations

However, our team believes that every child should be fully immunized against serious childhood illnesses. Medical providers advocate for childhood vaccinations and the established U.S. Centers of Disease Control (CDC) immunization guidelines. Summit Medical Group strictly adheres to these guidelines.

The Covid 19 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine has been authorized for children 12-17 https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations/adolescents.html

We encourage parents and guardians to get their children vaccinated as we navigate this new normal. Our medical providers are available to answer all questions regarding the administration of Covid 19 vaccines to your children. In partnership with other community providers, we are currently offering the vaccine. Please talk to your provider to schedule your child.

If your child has had COVID – no matter how mild the symptoms – they should be screened for any potential cardiac effects from the illness, prior to participating in strenuous sports activities. Please talk to your medical provider.
